The man had been walking through the forest for several hours. He just wanted to stroll along the familiar paths and breathe in the fresh air. Everything was calm \u2014 until he heard the sound of branches cracking behind him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He turned around and froze: out from the trees emerged a pack of wolves. There were many \u2014 at least eight. At first, the man thought it was just a chance encounter, but as the wolves slowly began to approach, it became clear they were preparing to attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man ran to the nearest tree, dropped his backpack, and started climbing up, clinging to the branches. His heart was pounding, his breathing was ragged, and his hands were slipping against the rough bark.<\/p>\n\n\n

The wolves surrounded the tree, growling and baring their teeth. One of them stood up on its hind legs and suddenly grabbed the man\u2019s boot with its teeth, tugging downward. The others circled the tree, their yellow eyes locked on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old man screamed, struggling to hold on with all his strength, but his energy was fading fast. He knew he couldn\u2019t last much longer. His phone was in his backpack, and there was never any signal in this area. The wolves, terrified, tucked their tails and ran off one by one, vanishing into the forest. The bear stood still for a few more seconds, then lifted its head and looked up \u2014 straight at the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old man froze, hardly daring to breathe. He thought he had escaped the wolves only to fall into the clutches of the bear. But the animal didn\u2019t move. It simply turned around and, with heavy steps, slowly walked back into the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man remained in the tree for a long time. He had escaped one group of predators only because another appeared at the right moment.
