I found this weird thing on the side of the road and immediately thought it was some animal\u2019s brain \"\ud83d\ude32\". I gently poked it with a stick and looked closer. Inside \u2014 lots of little segments, rubbery in texture, and with a very strange smell \"\ud83d\ude31\". I was about to call the police when I suddenly realized what it was \"\ud83d\ude32\"\"\ud83d\ude32\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was walking along a country road, suspecting nothing, when out of the corner of my eye I saw something odd lying by the roadside. Grayish, slightly squashed, with winding grooves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curiosity got the better of me \u2014 I carefully poked it with a stick and looked closely. Inside were many little sections, like a sliced-up brain. The texture was rubber-like. Awful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honestly, I shuddered. I thought: \u201cWhat if it\u2019s a brain?.. Maybe from an animal? Or \u2014 terrifying to think \u2014 a human?\u201d My heart started pounding.<\/p>\n\n\n

In fear and confusion, I took a picture of it and posted it online with the caption:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is this? Found it on the road. Looks like a brain. Should I call the police?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The comments came in quickly. Some said it might be a mushroom. Others guessed it was the insides of a wild animal. But one woman \u2014 who, judging by her profile, had several dogs \u2014 cleared it all up. Her answer was simple and devastatingly accurate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou found and opened dog poop. Someone\u2019s dog ate a bunch of paper towels. Dogs can\u2019t digest that \u2014 so it comes out as this\u2026 terrifying creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
